ΑΚΟΜΑ ΚΑΙ ΣΤΟΝ ΤΑΦΟ, ΧΛΕΥΑΖΟΥΝ ΤΗ ΖΩΗ

Over the course of time, Teitanblood’s methods of expression have doubtlessly been based on some weird Uneucleidian geometry. The conversation between it’s “dimensions” has been able to synthesise, as if by nature and not mere circumstance, an unbridled high-pitched Chaos with a bubbling Pulse that stitches any and all gashes of “normality” that would allow their records to sound friendly (as if that’s ever possible).

Coexistant Worlds: “From the Visceral Abyss” sounds like it’s been recorded twice· once normally and once it total reverse. These two recordings seem to be played simultaneously as the needle explores the record grooves. In most cases, overuse of reverberation or superficial ambiguity can hide too little of a band’s shortcomings like lack of focus, talent or Purpose. This is definitely not the case here: Regardless of the sheer, disciplined determination NSK and J show on the titletrack or the “Strangling Visions/And All Was Darkness/Tomb Corpse Haruspex” triplet, they show zero resistance when the madness of a Purulescent Horror sweeps them· a Horror fittingly potent in both repelling the all the doubting Thomases as well as forging fanaticism in the heart of all Parsifals out there.

Without a single doubt, an inseparable, and given Timo Ketola’s recent (“MMXX”) Crossing of The Veils, equally substantial element to this Experience is Dávid Glomba’s artwork. Like the music and lyrics of the album it does not dictate, nor does it reveal the Ultimate Realization. Neither does it crave to depict the Inexorable End in academic fashion. It merely Signifies· lights up a trajectory if you like…

“From the Visceral Abyss” is no half-assed job. Do not downgrade your own experience into a half-assed job by just “listening” to it.
APPREHEND it.
